Booking Information

allatoona fishing

I book trips primarily on Allatoona and Carter's Lake, and occasionally other area lakes if a good bite calls for it. Fish always have to eat, so there is a good bite 12 months a year! At peak times, I might be booked several days or weeks in advance, so it is best to call me as early as possible to hold your seat.

What to Expect

We fish in all kinds of weather, 12 months a year. It is typically cooler than people expect, so dress appropriately and bring rain gear if needed. I have a cooler on board for snacks and drinks, so bring what you like. I also have dry storage, so don't forget your camera! Bring your sunscreen as well---even on overcast days!

No Experience Necessary

I can take anyone from tournament anglers to "never fished before" --depending on your experience level, I will tailor the trip to suit your needs. If you give me an idea of your skill level prior to booking, I will be sure the boat is outfitted with the gear we need on the day of your trip.

The Fish We Catch

I guide for fiesty bass, and hard-pulling striper/hybrid most of the year. But Allatoona offers some of the best white bass and crappie fishing around. If you like catching A LOT of fish and having something to take home as well, book a crappie trip with me! I allow clients to take catfish home as well, but please honor 100% catch-and-release on all spotted & largemouth bass to preserve our great fishery.

Full day trips (6-7hrs) are $350 for 1-2 people. Half day trips (4hrs) are $250 for 1-2 people. $50 for each additional person up to 5 guests.  A deposit of $100.00 via PayPal is required at time of booking. Balance of trip can be paid on the day of trip. *All West Point Lake trips are full day trips.

Fish are unpredictable. Fish may feed better in the afternoon versus morning. I want to give the customer the opportunity to maximize his or her fishing trip by being on the water WHEN the fish are biting - whether morning or afternoon. For example, when the striper/hybrid bite shuts down at 9am I am able to "keep my clients catching fish" by targeting other species. This is where 30+ years of experience fishing Lake Allatoona comes in. While other guides are watching the clock waiting for the "time is up" bell to ring, I change tactics and target other species so my clients leave very happy. My desire is to give my customers the BEST fishing experience!

Where to meet

The fish move around from season to season, so prior to the trip I will let you know which ramp will be best for us to meet. Many of our ramps have fees for parking, so plan to bring a little cash with you ($3-5).
